Job Title: Child Protection Specialist

This is a dynamic role for an experienced Child Protection Specialist to work with vulnerable children and their families in Western Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with parents, family members, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Engage in complex problem-solving and develop effective safety plans to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and manage high-needs cases.
  • Prepare and present court documents, as required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to reports of safety concerns surrounding children or young people who may have been harmed. They will work closely with families, other agencies, and communities to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, or related field is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • A valid driver's licence (P1 or above) is required.
