Fleet Operations Deputy Manager Job Summary

As a Fleet Operations Deputy Manager at FedEx Express, you will play a key role in overseeing Fleet operations, ensuring all activities align with company goals and regulatory requirements. You will manage a team, drive continuous improvement, and provide efficient and effective operations within the Fleet areas for our Enfield site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team across various operational functions, including on-Road, Dispatch, Service Assurance, Transport Scheduling, and Fleet Management.
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Oversee vendor management and ensure effective collaboration with suppliers.
  • Manage department budgets and optimize costs.
  • Plan and schedule resources to ensure that department priorities are met.
  • Recruit, develop, and motivate team members to achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management.
  • Continuously seek to improve team effectiveness and efficiency using quality-driven management principles.
  • Ensure completion of audits and reviews of existing processes or documentation.
  • Handle customer service issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Relevant work experience with strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with various levels of management and external stakeholders.
