Fleet Operations Deputy Manager

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing Fleet operations, ensuring all activities align with company goals and regulatory requirements. You will lead a team, drive continuous improvement, and provide efficient and effective operations within the Fleet areas for our Enfield site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team across various operational functions, including on-Road, Dispatch, Service Assurance, Transport Scheduling, and Fleet Management.
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements, maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee vendor management, fostering effective collaboration with suppliers to achieve mutual benefits.
  • Manage department budgets, optimizing costs and resources to achieve business objectives.
  • Plan and schedule resources to ensure that department priorities are met, aligning with company goals and objectives.
  • Recruit, develop, and motivate team members to achieve individual and team objectives, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Continuously seek to improve team effectiveness and efficiency, applying quality-driven management principles to drive business success.
  • Ensure completion of audits and reviews of existing processes or documentation, maintaining a high level of compliance and quality.
  • Handle customer service issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements:
  • Relevant work experience with strong leadership and team management skills, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with various levels of management and external stakeholders.
