About the Role

KPMG Law's Tax Dispute Resolution and Controversy team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced tax professional to join our dynamic and growing team. As a Senior Tax Consultant, you will play a key role in advising clients on complex tax issues and disputes, and working closely with our clients to resolve their tax risks and disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert tax advice to clients on tax disputes and controversies, including preparing for and resolving disputes with revenue authorities.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Collaborate with our team of tax specialists to provide comprehensive tax advice and support to clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders to ensure excellent client service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in corporate tax, international tax, tax law, and/or tax dispute resolution and controversy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify creative solutions to complex tax issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Law degree and admission to the Australian bar.
