As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional tax advice and support to our clients, ensuring they navigate the complexities of the Australian taxation regime.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review company and trust tax returns for a diverse range of large financial services clients.
- Conduct research and provide tax consulting advice on matters such as tax consolidation, tax treaties, and hybrid mismatches.
- Assist clients with M&A activities, including tax structuring and due diligence services.
- Research and prepare advice on international tax issues, including thin capitalization and permanent establishments.
- Support clients with ATO reviews, governance matters, and audits.
- Collaborate with the ATO to obtain rulings for clients.
- Analyze technical tax issues and prepare tax reports.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and proposals.
- University degree in a related field, such as Accounting, Finance, Business, or Law.
- Significant corporate tax experience working with financial services clients.
- Strong understanding of Australian taxation and basic tax effect accounting calculations.
- Analytical skills and an inquisitive mindset, with a desire to deeply understand clients' businesses and challenges.
- Previous experience coaching and mentoring less experienced team members.
- Demonstrable strong work ethic and commitment to excellent client service.
