Accounts Receivable Accountant Opportunity

At Randstad, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our client's growing team in Pyrmont. This is a 3-month temporary to permanent role, with the possibility of becoming permanent from the start.

About the Role

As an Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing sales invoices and reconciling customer open items
  • Preparing aging lists on a monthly basis
  • Updating customer master data as needed
  • Issuing credit/debit notes after receiving necessary approval
  • Preparing Statements of Accounts and discussing with customers
  • Following up on new customer creation and liaising with insurance for coverage
  • Responding to customer and department queries related to accounts
  • Managing quarterly factoring activities and related customer balances
  • Performing daily cash clearing and bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with payment processing of customer rebates when needed
  • Cash flow forecasting on planned receipts/payments
  • Supporting internal and external audits as required
Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with experience in end-to-end Accounts Receivable functions and an accounting background. The ideal candidate will also possess:

  • Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent qualification
  • Prior experience in a similar role (2 years or more)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Exposure to SAP system is a must-have
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency
  • Good time management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Benefits

This role offers:

  • $37 - $45 per hour + Super
  • Once permanent, $70,000 - $85,000 + Super (based on experience) - can go slightly higher based on experience
  • 3 months temporary to permanent full-time position
  • Pyrmont location - close to public transport
  • Working hours - 9:30am - 6pm
  • Great team culture and friendly environment
  • 6 days work from home per month
