Electrical and Mechanical Systems Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled HVAC designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and managing HVAC systems, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring that all mechanical installations comply with Australian standards and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial and residential projects, incorporating industry best practices and client specifications.
- Perform heat load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, and equipment selection using relevant software tools.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical reports for HVAC systems.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of HVAC services, providing technical support to site teams.
- Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers throughout project life cycles.
- Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in preparing tenders, cost estimates, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).
- Excellent knowledge of Australian standards and building codes.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.
- Knowledge of HVAC software such as Trane Trace or Carrier HAP.
- Experience with design development and implementation of HVAC systems.
- Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in HVAC technologies and industry best practices.
- Technical troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
