Electrical Maintenance Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to support our key systems in the Greater Sydney area.

This full-time, on-site role involves maintaining high-end automated material handling solutions critical to our customer's business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct electrical maintenance inspections and ensure all systems are functioning within safe parameters.
  • Diagnose and repair complex electrical systems, working closely with other teams as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Assist with mechanical duties as required and contribute to overall equipment reliability.

This 24/7 roster requires a team player with strong communication skills and an ability to think outside the box.

Requirements
  • A recognized electrical qualification (Cert III in Electrotechnology) and contractor/supervisor license.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Service Engineer or Technician.
  • An understanding of industrial controls (PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, etc.) and the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
  • A strong electrical background with mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Dual Trade Certificate (electrical and mechanical) is highly regarded.
  • Experience in logistics, postal sorting, and baggage handling systems is also valuable.
