Job Description:

The Chief Growth Strategist will spearhead the development and execution of business strategies, identifying opportunities for expansion through strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, or organic growth.

This role involves proactively identifying potential deals, developing a pipeline of strategic acquisitions, and maintaining a close eye on market trends to stay ahead in a competitive landscape.

Key Objectives:
  • Develop and deliver strategic business plans that drive new ventures and businesses forward.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions to influence potential direction.
  • Develop commercial propositions that clearly articulate value propositions and commercial terms.
  • Act as liaison to other areas of the organization, including Investor Relations and Strategy.
  • Provide strategic advice and insights to senior executives on business opportunities.
About You:

We are seeking an experienced professional with a background in strategic planning, preferably in the retail sector. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated experience in business sizing, evaluations, negotiations, post-agreement integrations, and deal closures.

  • Extensive knowledge of retail trading businesses and products across the customer lifecycle.
  • Proven capacity for strategic thought leadership and aptitude for seeking creative solutions.
  • Possess exceptional relationship and communication skills, interacting effectively with senior executives.
  • Proven skills in financial modelling, interpretation of legal agreements, and commercial terms, strategy development, and retail business understanding.
