Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Event Coordinator to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of events, working closely with association staff to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement the delivery of the association's Events Program in accordance with the association's Events Strategy.
  • Coordinate major biannual conferences and other events and advocacy activities.
  • Develop and manage the events calendar and work toward improving the sustainability of the association's events.
  • Understand the requirements for each event and plan events with attention to budget and time constraints.
  • Contribute to research, marketing, and promotions of the events.
  • Book venues and catering, schedule speakers, and work with the Media and Communications Adviser to ensure the overall look and feel of the event is consistent across all communications.
  • Collect, compile, and format events materials and maintain online events materials.
  • Assist with registration and database management, manage delegate communications and enquiries, and manage bump-in and bump-out of events.
  • Evaluate each event's success, prepare and submit reports, and develop, maintain, and implement systems and procedures for the efficient and effective delivery of events.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and guidelines related to event management delivery.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as good time management skills and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is also essential.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary package, including $75,000 - $80,000 per annum plus superannuation benefits.
