Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead quality and service improvement initiatives. In this role, you will develop and promote mechanisms to ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality services.

You will work closely with the Territory Director to implement strategies that meet legislative and organisational standards. This includes overseeing quality and safeguarding processes, managing registration and audits, and promoting culturally safe practices for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review local procedures and improvement plans to ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Lead audits and ensure actions are tracked and completed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate responses to incidents and complaints, maintaining accurate records and ensuring reporting meets all requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training on care standards and policy to staff, while supporting local and national practice improvements.

This is a part-time (0.8 FTE/ 4 days a week), ongoing position that offers a competitive salary package and opportunities for professional development.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A recognised Social Work, Quality or Business Management Qualification.
  • Minimum two years' experience in child safety, out of home care or family services with at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy review within a quality framework and developing and maintaining quality and practice procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality management, compliance and accreditation coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures and current thinking regarding child safety out of home care and child safeguarding.
