Job Opportunity

This is a sought-after position in the South Canberra district. It's a mid-senior level, full-time role.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage quality systems/processes, performing internal audits to identify trends and ensure effective corrective actions.
  • Develop, implement, and refine quality strategy plans, policies, procedures, and practices within the Management System framework.
  • Analyse statistical data using quality management software to pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to documentation development and maintenance, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, guidelines, and control records.
  • Carry out risk assessments and address potential quality issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve performance targets for products, services, and assets.

The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quality, Business, Management, Mathematics, or a related field. They should also have prior experience in coordinating quality management activities in a similar capacity.

Requirements:
  • Fundamental understanding of quality management systems, tools, and relevant ISO standards.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Prior experience in defence or equivalent regulated industries would be beneficial.

The selected candidate must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance – NV1.
