Life Without Barriers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapeutic Youth Worker to join our team.
The successful candidate will work closely with children and young people aged 12-17 who have experienced childhood trauma, abuse, or neglect.
You will be part of a dedicated team working to ensure a safe, homelike environment where these young people can thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting children and young people to learn independent life skills, develop problem-solving skills, and build positive relationships with others.
- Providing individualised care and support to meet the unique needs of each young person.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals, including healthcare workers, therapists, and educators, to ensure comprehensive support for each young person.
Requirements for success in this role include:
- A Diploma in Community Services or related field (or willingness to complete a Diploma offered by LWB).
- Current Provide First Aid and CPR certificates.
- An Australian Drivers Licence.
- Willingness to assist with activities of daily living, including personal care (if required).
Safety is our top priority. You will be required to undergo probity checks, including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check, and NSW Residential Care Workers Register check.
