About the Role:

  • Reporting to senior management, we are seeking a skilled Financial Expert with experience in financial statement preparation and auditing. The successful candidate will join our dynamic team as a qualified Accountant at a leading construction company.
  • This role involves assisting in creating and implementing accounting frameworks, preparing financial statements for review by boards of directors, executive management, shareholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Key responsibilities include performing financial reviews and audits, drafting comprehensive reports, and advising on key financial decisions.
  • The Financial Expert will also be responsible for analysing organisational financial performance by reviewing operational expenses alongside revenue and expenditures.
  • To ensure accuracy and statutory compliance of data presented in financial statements, the ideal candidate must have strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • We require a proactive and flexible individual who can advise on financial strategies, tax implications, and business structuring to support operational goals.
  • Responsibilities also include completing tax returns for individuals and corporate entities, working with banks and financial intermediaries to establish and manage funding and investment arrangements.
  • In this role, you will set up and maintain accounting systems, including recommendations for computer-based accounting solutions, and oversee internal control measures to safeguard financial integrity.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's preferred) is essential for this role.
  • At least one year's experience in a similar position is required.
  • The ideal candidate should have high attention to detail, a friendly phone manner, and strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office Suite skills, including intermediate Excel skills, are necessary for this role.
  • Strong communication skills to maintain positive working relationships are crucial.
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment and prioritise tasks effectively is also essential.
