About the Role:

The opportunity abounds in this job. Beyond the core finance activities, we are looking for a hands-on career professional who wants to make this role their own by supporting wider business activities including contract and leasing reviews, insurance and IT.

Do you thrive in a small team? You'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of finance/IT functions and work closely with our team to assist them in all business services related activities. A strong foundation in Commerce is preferred.

We're seeking someone with expertise in performing financial analysis and assisting in reporting key insights to management. Responsibilities include assisting with month-end processing and preparation of financial reports, risk analysis, contract and lease reviews, preparing taxation returns (GST, FBT, Payroll, Income Tax), budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations, maintaining fixed asset registers and ensuring records are up to date, supporting accounts payable, receivable, payroll, daily cashbook management and banking tasks functions when needed, collaborating with various teams to support business operations, and other tasks.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • CA or CPA preferred
  • At least 4 years' experience in a finance/accounting role preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP systems is a bonus, but not essential
  • Proficient in Copilot, Microsoft Excel and other MS 365 programs
