Aboriginal Health Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Aboriginal Health Worker to join our team at SA Health. As a key member of our Aboriginal Health team, you will play a vital role in promoting health and wellbeing for young Aboriginal children and youth in Port Pirie and the Mid North health area.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with our community to develop, implement, and evaluate programs tailored to the needs of Aboriginal children and young people. You will work closely with community groups, health workers, and organisations to ensure that our services meet the needs of Aboriginal people.
Key Responsibilities- Support mothers, babies, and children by providing advice, information, and assistance, including conducting child health checks.
- Develop and implement programs to promote health and wellbeing for Aboriginal children and young people.
- Work closely with community groups, health workers, and organisations to ensure that our services meet the needs of Aboriginal people.
- Act as a cultural broker to help Aboriginal clients access suitable health services.
- Degree in a relevant field, such as health, social work, or education.
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities and developing programs to promote health and wellbeing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships with community groups and health workers.
