About the Role

As a key member of our Sydney operations team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth management of our workshop and warehouse. Reporting directly to the City Operations Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the performance of our mechanics and the maintenance and repair of our e-scooters and e-bikes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement efficient workshop management strategies to drive productivity and quality control.
  • Lead a high-performing team of mechanics, providing guidance and training to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Workplace Health & Safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as shift scheduling and staffing deployment to support our Sydney operations.
  • Manage inventory control and stocktake procedures, utilizing inventory management systems like Netsuite to optimize efficiency.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for new mechanics, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Carry out hands-on assembly, repair, and maintenance of e-scooters and e-bikes, adhering to our high-quality control measures.
  • Support Neuron's operations in Sydney as needed, including driving a service vehicle and assisting the ground operations team.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in warehouse or workshop operations, preferably in the mobility or supply chain sector.
  • Able to perform physical tasks, including lifting and manoeuvring 25-35 kg, as required.
  • A process-driven approach to leadership, with experience defining best practice warehouse procedures.
  • Flexible work schedule with the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to multitask and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
