Business Development Support Role

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Retail Sales Account Support to join our dynamic sales team. This role supports the Business Development Manager (BDM) in driving sales and strategies, managing key accounts, and contributing to the overall growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the BDM to meet and exceed sales, margin, and product mix targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, existing accounts, and new clients.
  • Identify client needs and provide tailored solutions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor sales performance for each account, addressing issues and opportunities as they arise.
  • Proactively attract and secure new customers, including engaging in cold calling and outreach activities.
  • Assist with clerical duties to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and establish new business relationships.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within the trade and industrial sector.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and the ability to influence and negotiate with trade partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on client interaction and relationship management.
  • Demonstrated proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Outstanding organisational and time management abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Competent in using technology, including computer literacy and professional phone etiquette.
