Senior Safety Advisor

CPB Contractors is seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Advisor to join our team on the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture project. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our staff, subcontractors, and the wider community.

About the Project

The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a major infrastructure project that involves the upgrade and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities at three Department of Defence establishments. The project will involve a range of activities, including construction, refurbishment, and remedial works.

Your Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Safety Advisor who has a strong background in health and safety, with experience working on large-scale construction projects. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety strategies, conducting audits and reviews, and providing training and guidance to staff and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement
  • Provide training and guidance to staff and subcontractors on health and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of the project
  • Monitor and report on safety performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement
Requirements
  • High level of skill and experience in health and safety, with a strong background in construction
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, subcontractors, and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication
  • High level of skill and experience in conducting audits and reviews, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards
