Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Underground Operations Manager to oversee the execution of underground mining activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and guiding a team of operators to ensure safe and efficient operations.

  • The successful candidate will report directly to the Mine Coordinator and work closely with other departments to achieve operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership to the underground mining crew, prioritizing safety, productivity, and quality.
  • Assist in developing and implementing mine plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A Western Australian Underground Supervisors Certificate of Competency or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience as an underground supervisor, preferably in a gold mining environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of planning, forecasting, and change management principles.
