Mine Geologist Role

Are you a skilled geologist looking for a challenging role in the mining industry? We are seeking an experienced Mine Geologist to join our team at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine.

Job Description

We are responsible for delivering grade control, ore definition, and reconciliation processes to meet monthly production schedules. This involves managing and reporting daily, weekly, and monthly production activities, reviewing performance against scheduled targets.

The successful candidate will be involved in underground mapping of development drives, training and mentoring graduate geologists, and overseeing drill program design, QAQC, database management, reconciliations, and material tracking.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the biggest and most complex underground gold operations in Western Australia. As a mine geologist, you will have the chance to participate in a unique underground grade control process utilizing five underground RC rigs and conditional simulation.

You will form part of a skilled and tight-knit team, backed by your Senior Mine Geologist and supported with resources and guidance to ensure your success.

This role requires a strong sense of safety, excellent communication and written skills, and a comprehensive understanding of the mining cycle. Proficiency in 3D software packages such as Vulcan, Leapfrog, or Deswik is highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary degree in Geology and at least 2 years of experience in Mine Geology. A current C-class manual driver's license and ability to obtain a National Police Clearance are also required.
