Contract and Risk Management Specialist

A key role in ABB Australia's Electrification Business is available for a highly skilled and motivated Contract and Risk Management Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.

This position reports to the Senior Legal Counsel Australia and NZ. The work model for the role is Hybrid, and the role can be based in either Moorebank, NSW or Notting Hill, VIC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and respond to contract terms and conditions tenders and RFQs.
  • Redline and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors with the supervision of Senior Legal Counsel.
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring compliance with Legal & Integrity and ABB policy requirements.
  • Work closely with internal sales and account teams, including legal, finance, and project management, to ensure alignment and effective contract execution.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in contract negotiations and management, preferably in the engineering or technology industry.
  • Professional certifications in contract management (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) are a plus.
  • Solid grasp of contract law and commercial terms and able to handle multiple contracts and priorities concurrently.
  • Outstanding negotiation and communication skills plus skilled in contract relining, Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel.
