Category Strategist

About the Role:

This is a key position in our marketing team, responsible for executing and managing the Hand Dish and Hard Surface categories.

The role entails ownership and delivery of range reviews, supported by robust data systems such as GS1 and SkuVantage.

This position ensures category strategies are insight-driven—leveraging scan, consumer, and shopper data—and aligned with brand priorities, delivering executional excellence in collaboration with National Account Sales teams.

  • Lead category reviews for key customers, delivering performance analysis, growth opportunities, and strategic recommendations across pricing, promotion, range, and space.
  • Develop tailored range and space plans for all major Hand Dish and Hard Surface category reviews in Australia.
  • Build strong business cases to support innovation and NPD (New Product Development) initiatives in relevant categories.
  • Contribute to NPD goal setting and support go-to-market strategies for new products.
  • Prepare and present category insights for Quarterly Account Reviews.
  • Provide additional support for other category reviews or business cases when capacity allows.
  • Manage data systems including GS1 and SkuVantage to support range launches.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure execution of category strategies aligned with business goals.
