This is a full-time opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable community members. As a Domestic Violence Worker, you will provide crisis intervention, ongoing counselling, and assistance with Domestic Violence Protection Orders, reporting to the Senior Practitioner.
Key Responsibilities- Crisis Intervention: Provide intake and assessment services to clients accessing support for family and domestic violence.
- Counselling and Support: Offer crisis counselling and ongoing DV counselling to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Community Engagement: Engage in group work and community education to raise awareness about domestic violence and its impact.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of client work, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in behavioural or social sciences.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in the domestic and family violence support industry.
- Skills: High-level case management skills, crisis intervention experience, counselling and advocacy abilities, experience with community engagement, and knowledge of domestic violence dynamics.
- Competitive Salary: Earn a Level 5 SCHADS salary of $97,000 - $101,000 p.a. with NFP salary packaging, enhancing your take-home pay.
