Domestic Violence Sector Development Specialist

Our well-established charity seeks a dedicated individual to support and develop the Townsville Regional Sector in addressing domestic and family violence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the best support to victim survivors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to address domestic and family violence in the Townsville Region
- Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to build strong partnerships
- Provide supervision and practice guidance to others and deliver training and presentations
- Develop and maintain respectful relationships with clients and across the service system and community
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or human services (or 5 years' experience in a similar field)
- Demonstrated experience and comprehensive knowledge of Domestic and Family Violence, including trauma-informed practice, crisis intervention, and risk assessment
- Ability to work with current legislation, including the Domestic and Family Violence Act 2012 and the Child Protection Act 1999
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to share knowledge and deliver training
What We Offer:
- Fixed Term Contract for 1 Year
- SCHADS Level 5.1 ($49.28hr)
- Salary packaging options up to $15,900
- 3 days Christmas leave granted in addition to 4 weeks annual leave
- 17.5% annual leave loading
