Domestic Violence Sector Development Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Domestic Violence Sector Development Worker. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with a salary of $89,886.00 - $93,954.00 per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement trauma-informed practices in the domestic violence sector
  • Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to build strong partnerships
  • Provide supervision and practice guidance to others, as well as deliver training and presentations
  • Work with current legislation, including the Domestic and Family Violence Act 2012 and the Child Protection Act 1999
  • Develop and maintain respectful relationships with clients and across the service system and community
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or human services (or 5 years' experience in a similar field)
  • Demonstrated experience and comprehensive knowledge of domestic and family violence, including trauma-informed practice and crisis intervention
  • Ability to work with current legislation and develop strong partnerships with community organizations
  • Highly organized and able to plan, prioritize, and manage competing tasks
  • Emotionally intelligent and aware, with a keen sense of critical self-reflection
