Trauma and Critical Incident Response Specialist

Partner with a leading mental health services provider to support diverse clients in trauma management.

This part-time, fixed-term role involves assessment and response work, combining onsite and phone-based interventions.

About the Role

This specialist will provide critical incident response services, including emergency response, critical incidents, planned support, disaster response, and incident support forums.

They will use primary intervention models of psychological first aid, stepped care, and referral pathways to inform organisations of themes, recommendations, or internal process improvements.

  • Deliver employee counselling and training and consulting services.
  • Provide one-on-one trauma support and group sessions using psychological first aid (PFA) and other trauma-specific interventions.
Key Skills and Qualifications

We seek motivated and experienced registered psychologists and social workers who have:

  • Experience in psychosocial interventions, support, and counselling.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in trauma management and/or consultancy services.
  • Ability to assess workplace issues, identify suitable intervention programs, and provide solution-focused advice.
  • Excellent time management, report writing, and negotiation skills.
  • High-level facilitation skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
