Cattery Team Leadership Opportunity

  • Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures and good animal welfare practices.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure cohesive operations and the sharing of best practices.

About the Role

The Cattery Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cattery, ensuring that all cats receive the highest standard of care.

This role requires close collaboration with other Animal Care Team Leaders and departments to uphold and enhance overall shelter operations and animal welfare standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Team Leadership and Development: Foster a supportive and motivational work environment, develop team members through regular feedback and training opportunities, and manage and lead a team of staff and volunteers.

- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the cattery, ensure all animals receive optimal care, and implement strategies to reduce the length of stay of animals and improve welfare outcomes.

- Compliance and Procedures: Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures, aligning with good animal welfare practices as well as contractual and legislative requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of staff and volunteers.

- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
