Individuals and families in need often require comprehensive financial support. As a Doorways Intake Worker, you will be instrumental in delivering trauma-informed care to our clients.

This permanent part-time position involves providing welcoming initial contact for community members accessing our site, assessing their immediate needs, and referring them to suitable on-site supports.

You will work closely with the Doorways Site Coordinator, Corps Officers, and other key staff to establish effective relationships and ensure our clients receive the best possible care.

To succeed in this role, you will need a Diploma level qualification in a related field, such as Community Services, or relevant experience. You must also hold a current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check and an understanding of Trauma Informed Care Framework.

  • Provide culturally safe and trauma-informed contact and support.
  • Assess the immediate needs of community members and refer to suitable on-site supports.
  • Listen carefully and acknowledge concerns, issues or queries, referring them to the Doorways Site Coordinator when necessary.
