About the Position

Coomera State Special School is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Deputy Principal. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a senior educator to contribute to the school's commitment to excellence in education.

The Deputy Principal will be responsible for driving a collaborative culture of learning, supporting middle leaders, teachers, and support staff to meet student needs through collegial engagement and feedback. They will work closely with the Principal to develop knowledge and skills, focusing on improving student outcomes.

This lead learner role requires strong relational capability to develop positive relationships between students, staff, and the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the school community to develop a shared educational vision focused on quality learning outcomes.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Form partnerships with parents, government agencies, community groups, industry, and business.
Requirements

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider community.
