Job Title: Executive Leadership Position

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our team in Sydney, Australia. This critical role involves supporting the organization's efforts to deliver educational programs to the Ismaili community.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, with experience in directing administrative, academic, and program staff. They will drive the implementation of strategic plans, manage operations, and work closely with stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive organizational growth and success.
  • Lead the preparation of annual objectives, strategies, and budgets, ensuring adherence to approved plans.
  • Monitor the implementation of operating plans across various portfolios and areas of activity, evaluating impact and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage performance of programs and activities to attain targets and benchmarks of quality and access, identifying gaps and opportunities for growth.
  • Oversee management and financial systems, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality of information.
  • Prepare regular and annual reports for stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of external and internal issues and trends impacting the organization's work.
  • Draw on expertise of volunteers and other experts as required.
  • Ensure organizational structure and staff deployment are streamlined, effective, and aligned with priorities.
  • Lead, inspire, and motivate staff to perform to their best capacities.
  • Ensure implementation of human resource policies, including recruitment, performance appraisal, succession planning, and code of conduct.
  • Make recommendations concerning recruitment, deployment, and/or replacement of staff.
  • Encourage continuing professional development of staff.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  • Organize and participate in meetings, ensuring timely preparation and circulation of meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve strategic, programmatic, and administrative synergies.
  • Serve as point of liaison with relevant authorities on financial, statutory, and audit-related matters.
  • Support liaison between the organization and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Serve as institutional memory and point of reference for continuity of the organization's work.
  • Coordinate transition/handover process from one leadership team to the next.
  • Ensure timeliness and quality of communications to stakeholders.
  • Make proposals concerning own continuing professional development.
