Assistant Director, Financial Framework Supplementary Powers Team

The Australian Government Security Clearance is seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Director to join the Financial Framework Supplementary Powers Team within the Financial Management Branch. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing guidance, advice, and oversight on the process to establish legislative authority for Commonwealth expenditure through amendments to the Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997.
Key Responsibilities- Legislative Authority: Provide guidance, advice, and oversight on the process to establish legislative authority for Commonwealth expenditure through amendments to the Financial Framework (Supplementary Powers) Regulations 1997 within set timeframes.
- Written Materials: Prepare a range of written material, including Ministerial correspondence, Senior Executive briefings, and reports.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research, analysis, and quality assurance using a wide range of sources to provide an evidence base for decision making.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Lead stakeholder engagement and represent the department in engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including across government.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and develop staff.
