Kindergarten Support Role

This role is available for immediate start or as negotiated. The successful applicant will support Kindergartens in the Mackay Region.

The position reports directly to the Kindergarten Director or appointed responsible person, with key relationships including children, families, and the Early Learning & Care Manager.

  • Assisting with educational activities, lesson preparation, and resource organization.
  • Providing support to students, including those with additional needs.
  • Monitoring student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and educational materials organization.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Certificate III in Children's Services or equivalent (ACECQA approved).
  • A current Blue Card and valid Suitability Notice under the WWC Act.
  • Child Protection competencies or willingness to obtain: Identifying and responding to child protection risks.
  • First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Training (ACECQA approved).
  • The ability to safely perform physical role requirements.
