About the Role

Are you passionate about early childhood education and eager to make a meaningful impact? Our kindergarten, part of the Great Start to Kindergarten initiative, offers free access to 3-year-olds before formal kindergarten. We are seeking a dedicated Lead Educator to join our friendly team and create a nurturing environment for children beginning their educational journey.

Our sessional kindergarten accommodates up to 22 children per day, operating from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm during school terms. After December 2025, there will be opportunities to work across other centres, including Long Day Care.

Duties

  • Design and implement inclusive, creative programs that celebrate diversity and support children of all abilities.
  • Document and reflect on each child's growth and development, ensuring their wellbeing and safety.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality care aligned with the National Quality Framework.
  • Engage in ongoing reflection to improve practice and foster a culture of learning.

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant Early Childhood Education and Care qualifications.
  • Knowledge of Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and Early Years Learning Framework v.2.0, with innovative practice.
  • Experience developing rich, current pedagogy-based curricula.
  • Ability to communicate respectfully and supportively with colleagues and families to develop individual learning programs.
  • Effective time management and adaptability skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing critical reflection to enhance practice and outcomes.
