Aboriginal Homelessness Reform Manager

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to lead a team responsible for developing policy and program initiatives to address Aboriginal homelessness in Victoria.

The key functions of this role include driving key initiatives and priorities identified within Mana-na worn-tyeen maar-takoort: Every Aboriginal Person has a Home, The Victorian Aboriginal Housing and Homelessness Framework, leading Aboriginal homelessness projects and initiatives, and providing advice to ensure the needs of Aboriginal Victorians are reflected in overall reform of the Victorian Specialist Homelessness Service system.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in community-based settings, and a commitment to improving housing outcomes for Aboriginal people and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

This role requires effective partnership building with the Victorian Aboriginal community, government agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for Aboriginal Victorians.

  • Lead the development of Aboriginal homelessness policy and program initiatives to address the root causes of homelessness.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships across a wide range of stakeholders to drive collective impact and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders on complex matters related to Aboriginal homelessness.
