Community Capacity Builder

We are seeking a Community Capacity Builder to design and deliver community capacity building initiatives aligned with the NDIA's ILC Policy Framework.

  • The successful candidate will build strong partnerships with local organisations, government agencies, and diverse community groups.
  • Facilitate community mapping to identify service gaps and opportunities.
  • Co-design initiatives with individuals with disability and their families.
  • Engage with priority groups such as First Nations, CALD, LGBTIQA+SB, and rural/remote communities.
  • Develop project plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on initiative impact.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant systems and frameworks.
About You
  • Demonstrated experience in community development and/or capacity building with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of the NDIS, disability sector, ILC Policy Framework, and related programs.
  • Proven ability to build genuine partnerships and co-design with individuals with a disability.
  • Experience in project planning, performance measurement, and community engagement.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills.
  • High level of organisational and self-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a community-based setting.
  • Strong commitment to inclusion, diversity, and accessibility.
