We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Indigenous Affairs Advisor to join our People team in Melbourne, VIC. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and delivering inclusive employment programs for priority jobseeker cohorts.

About the Role

The Senior Indigenous Affairs Advisor will support the development of State Based Social Inclusion Strategies for VIC, NSW & QLD, as well as work winning bids and deliver indigenous initiatives and commitments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying strategic opportunities for social benefit suppliers during tender phase;
  • Establishing targets and reporting requirements for relevant tenders;
  • Sourcing businesses with products and/or services that have potential to supply projects;
  • Coordinating and managing key indigenous initiatives, programs, partnerships and memberships;
  • Cultivating relationships with local workforce inclusion providers, community stakeholders, and procurement teams;

Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of current Government policy and requirements specific to Social Procurement and Workforce Inclusion. They possess excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to problem solve and develop creative solutions.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 AUD per annum, depending on experience, plus industry-leading benefits such as mental health and wellbeing programs, paid parental leave, and coaching programs for staff on parental leave.
