Job Summary:

The Robotics Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting orthopaedic surgeons in the planning and execution of robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements.

This position requires a high level of clinical knowledge, technical acumen, and adaptability to thrive in dynamic environments.

About the Role

As a Robotic Product Specialist, you will be the primary clinical expert for the Mako system, providing real-time support during procedures and working closely with surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the in-theatre expert for Mako-assisted procedures, providing technical guidance to surgeons and theatre staff.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal use of the Mako robotic platform during joint replacement surgeries.
  • Conduct pre-operative CT-based planning and segmentation to assist in surgical case preparation.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge in orthopaedic surgical techniques, anatomy, and robotic technology.
  • Provide ongoing training and clinical support to hospital staff and surgical teams.
  • Travel across Sydney and surrounding areas to support multiple hospital sites.

Requirements

  • A strong clinical background and a passion for surgical innovation.
  • Confidence in surgical/theatre settings, technical savvy with software and medical technology, and excellent communication skills.
  • Adaptability, detail-oriented, and able to perform under pressure.
