As a highly skilled Software Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the creation of advanced software systems that enable innovative robotics solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement high-quality software for real-time control and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing perception systems, including sensor fusion, motion planning, and computer vision;
- Integrating software seamlessly with hardware components, collaborating closely with mechanical, electrical, and UX teams;
- Writing production-ready code in C++, Python, or Rust, adhering to best practices for performance and maintainability;
- Leveraging robotic middleware (ROS2, Zenoh) to power communication and modularity;
- Applying test-driven development and writing unit and integration tests to ensure robustness in deployment;
- Deploying and validating software on hardware prototypes and production robots, iterating quickly based on real-world feedback;
- Debugging and optimizing for performance, reliability, and fault tolerance;
- Maintaining clear documentation and adhering to disciplined version control practices (Git, CI/CD).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field;
- 2-5 years of professional software development experience, preferably in robotics or embedded systems;
- Strong proficiency in C++, Python, or Rust within Linux-based environments;
- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing;
- Experience with robotic middleware such as ROS2 or Zenoh;
- Understanding of real-time systems, networking, or simulation tools (Gazebo, Webots) is advantageous;
- Exposure to computer vision, SLAM, or machine learning pipelines is a plus;
- Strong systems-thinking approach with practical problem-solving skills.
