Job Title: Injury Management Specialist and Claims Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the entire return-to-work process for injured employees, ensuring seamless integration with all stakeholders.

  • Administer claims from inception to closure, guaranteeing adherence to WorkCover regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with treating practitioners, independent medical examiners (IMEs), and other relevant parties to expedite case resolution and optimize recovery outcomes.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with legislative requirements, organizational procedures, and quality improvement standards.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to facilitate effective team functioning, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
  • Review pre-employment medical assessments, job demand evaluations, and inherent requirement documentation to ensure accuracy, currency, and alignment with workplace safety guidelines.
  • Monitor claim progress and return-to-work plans, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance recovery rates and reduce claim durations.
About You
  • Possess relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Allied Health, Nursing, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate experience in injury management coordination and claims administration.
  • Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of preparing accurate documentation, handling sensitive information, and achieving timely results.
  • Display a deep understanding of WorkCover legislation, return-to-work frameworks, and injury management principles, with the ability to apply these complex concepts in dynamic organizational settings.
