Volunteer Coordinator Opportunity

At NRM, we're passionate about making a positive impact on the environment. We're seeking a highly organized and communicative Volunteer Coordinator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate volunteer groups and provide support to volunteers in person, via phone, and in writing.
  • Organize group volunteer events, including scheduling volunteers, arranging meals, and ensuring WHS policies are followed.
  • Coordinate volunteer follow-up, including distributing information and resolving issues.
  • Manage volunteer enrollment and training, including reviewing EOI, onboarding, and allocating volunteers to assignments.
  • Track volunteer activities for reporting and accountability.
  • Provide administrative support to the NRM manager, including maintaining records, filing, and creating templates and processes.
  • Deliver materials, post supplies, and pick up ad-hoc supplies in Metropolitan Melbourne and surrounds.
About You:
  • You have a passion for working with volunteers and ensuring their positive engagement and enriching experiences.
  • You have a positive can-do attitude, are proactive, and happy to help where necessary.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and enjoy learning new systems.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can develop positive relationships.
  • You have strong organization skills, a high attention to detail, and effective task and time management skills.
  • You have a genuine interest in sustainability and the environment.
  • You are supportive, collaborative, and able to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • You are flexible and able to come up with ideas to problem-solve and inspired by continuous improvement.
