Job Opportunity: HSQE Senior Advisor

As a seasoned Health, Safety, Quality and Environment (HSQE) professional, you will lead a team of advisors in managing, coordinating and controlling HSQE obligations across the portfolio. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, accreditations, standards, management system requirements and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: You will manage a small team of HSQE Advisors, allocating tasks, coaching, setting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and monitoring resources and performance.
  • System Implementation: Develop, implement and maintain HSQE systems and processes on-site in remote Accommodation Villages.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate with Operations Managers to conduct safe operations and implement the safety management system.
  • Campaign Development: Drive HSQE campaigns and injury prevention initiatives targeting key risk areas.
  • Client Collaboration: Partner with Operations Managers to address client needs and expectations.
  • Safety Planning: Develop, implement and monitor safety plans, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk management processes to aid effective decision-making and safe operations.
  • Incident Investigations: Facilitate accident/incident investigations and maintain records and statistics.
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV or equivalent in Workplace Health & Safety.
  • Experience in a HSQE Advisor or similar role.
  • Experience with people management.
  • In-depth understanding of WHS legislation.
  • Understanding of Quality ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and Environment 14001.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive work relationships.
  • Proven track record of successful implementation of initiatives or improvements with frontline workforce.
  • Advanced computer, numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to ensure accuracy of data entry, data analysis, reporting and recording.
  • Personal standards of confidentiality, honesty and integrity.
  • Current Driver's License.
