The HSQE Senior Advisor is a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for guiding and leading a small team of experts in managing Health Safety Quality Environment (HSQE) obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team leadership: oversee a small team of advisors in the Bowen Basin, allocating tasks, coaching, setting goals and monitoring resources and performance.
  • Implement and maintain site-level HSQE systems and processes in our remote Accommodation Villages.
  • Support Operations: collaborate with operations managers to ensure safe operations and implement safety management systems.
  • Develop Campaigns: drive HSQE campaigns and injury prevention initiatives targeting key risk areas.
  • Client Collaboration: partner with operations managers to address client needs and expectations.
  • Safety Plans: develop, implement, and monitor safety plans, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Risk Management: conduct thorough risk assessments to inform effective decision-making and safe operations.
  • Incident Investigations: facilitate incident investigations and maintain records and statistics.
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV or equivalent in Workplace Health & Safety.
  • Experience in a similar advisory or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successful implementation of initiatives or improvements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive work relationships.
  • Personal standards of confidentiality, honesty and integrity.

This role requires strong support from senior leaders, operations managers and other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be based in the Mackay and Fitzroy regions or FIFO from Brisbane, with frequent travel to our Queensland Villages in the Bowen Basin as well as occasional travel to NSW Villages.
