The Australian Services Union WA Branch seeks a highly motivated Industrial Officer to join their team.
As an Industrial Officer, you will work with ASU members to provide industrial advice and representation, including advocacy before industrial courts and tribunals, and negotiation of industrial agreements.
You will be working as part of an Industrial Organising Team to realise the aims and objectives of the Western Australian Branch of the ASU by providing sound industrial support to ASU members.
Recognising that Industrial Officers will enter ASU employment with different levels of skills and experience, you will be working with relevant senior staff to achieve the aims and objectives of the Branch.
- Provide advice and representation in relation to members' grievances on work-related matters.
- Prepare researches and progress claims on industrial matters, members' entitlements, and collective agreement matters.
- Consult with employer representatives and/or organisations to resolve issues outside of tribunals.
- Assist members and Industrial Organisers in resolving workplace grievances.
- Provide advocacy before Industrial Tribunals on a range of industrial matters.
