Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough social baseline studies encompassing demographics, infrastructure, livelihoods, and local customs.
  • Identify key stakeholders; prepare consultation and engagement materials; conduct informant interviews, focus groups, and facilitate public consultation meetings.
  • Analyze and assess social impacts in terms of significance, scale, and importance.
  • Evaluate potential cumulative and indirect impacts of planned changes in communities using quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Develop effective strategies to mitigate negative impacts and enhance positive ones.
  • Document, report, and monitor engagement outcomes encompassing social, economic, and cultural heritage matters.

The role provides opportunities to contribute to and lead social change projects, collaborate with senior professionals, and travel and work with communities and Indigenous people in the South Pacific.
