Job Summary
We are embarking on an exciting journey to shape the renewable energy transformation in Queensland and Australia. As part of this, we are delivering a number of major projects, including renewable energy developments, across Queensland.
In this newly created role, you will ensure that our business activities proceed with social awareness, respect and appropriate consideration for community and social performance.
About the Role
Social performance, risk and impact assessments, and community investment are integral parts of the successful delivery of the energy industry transformation. This necessitates a responsibility to recognize social and community impacts.
You will help understand these impacts and develop the best possible approaches to social performance, social impact assessment, and responsible community investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver better practice social performance, social impact assessments, strategic plans, data analysis and research to support both corporate and wider communities
- Ensure vital social sustainability approaches meet industry and community expectations for large scale infrastructure projects
- Ensure social performance, analysis and investment strategies align with our recently endorsed Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Framework
- Support communities to be sustainable alongside the scope, scale and pace of the energy industry transformation
- Understand how these approaches build and maintain Social Licence to Operate (SLO)
You will spend a considerable amount of time working closely with our projects and business teams at locations throughout Queensland.
About You
- You have significant experience and demonstrated success in managing organisational social performance, risk analysis, social impact assessment or similar activities for infrastructure projects.
- You have established and strong relationships in liaising and negotiating with regional communities and landholders including Traditional Owners on behalf of an organisation with regards to linear infrastructure.
- Your strong knowledge and passion for socially sustainable and best practice approaches for community and stakeholders has been utilised in previous roles to deliver community centred outcomes. You have preferably gained this knowledge and passion through your own personal connections with regional communities.
- You can demonstrate previous successful consultations and negotiations with communities, landholders, government and stakeholder groups that include development and delivery of Social Impacts Assessment and Social Performance measures.
- Your qualifications will include a Degree level qualification in the areas of Social Science, Environmental, Communications or similar, or a lesser qualification in another discipline relevant to social performance for infrastructure projects coupled with significant industry experience.
- Importantly, you deeply resonate with our values: Teamwork; Safety; Accountability and Customer
What Next?

Our people strategy focuses on balanced leadership, values diverse backgrounds and fosters a culture of inclusion.
