Mining Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mining Operations Coordinator to join our team at the Dugald River mine in Northern Queensland, Australia. As a key member of our site leadership, you will play a critical role in directing and coordinating underground mining activities to achieve optimal mine development.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, aligning them with production plans, facilitating team communication, leading improvement projects, monitoring mine schedules, upholding safety procedures, and promoting a proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Leadership: Direct and coordinate the operational team through planning, organisation, and implementation of all underground mining activities required for optimal mine development.
- Team Communication: Facilitate team communication to prevent bottlenecks and ensure smooth operation.
- Improvement Projects: Lead improvement projects to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall performance.
- Safety Management: Uphold safety procedures, investigate incidents, and support safety leadership to maintain a safe working environment.
- Mentorship: Mentor supervisors to build a high-performance team and promote a culture of excellence.
To be considered for this opportunity, you should have demonstrable leadership experience within the underground metalliferous mining industry, well-developed interpersonal skills, S1,S2,S3 Competency, and exposure and experience with a variety of mining equipment.
