Senior Indigenous Partnerships Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Indigenous Engagement Manager to develop and implement effective strategies for engaging with Indigenous communities and promoting a culturally inclusive environment.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and engaging with Indigenous contractors, developing Indigenous awareness programs, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and Implementing Indigenous Engagement Strategies: Identify and engage with Indigenous contractors and businesses, develop and deliver Indigenous awareness programs, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to align strategies with broader organisational goals.
- Building Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous communities and stakeholders through regular consultations, workshops, and meetings.
- Culturally Inclusive Environment: Foster a culturally inclusive environment within the organisation by promoting Indigenous cultures, histories, and issues affecting Indigenous communities.
- Monitoring Progress: Monitor and report on the progress of the Indigenous Engagement strategy and associated initiatives.
- Support and Advice: Provide support and advice to project teams on Indigenous engagement and participation.
About You
- Required Skills and Qualifications: Our ideal candidate has experience in a large-scale industrial environment, a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and issues affecting Indigenous communities, and tertiary qualifications in community development, social sciences or related field. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Desirable Attributes: Experience in identifying and engaging with Indigenous businesses and contractors, strong project management skills, with experience in delivering training and awareness programs, and the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
