Job Overview

This role is a key position within the police station, serving as the primary point of contact for members of the public seeking assistance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for the public requiring support in police stations.
  • Provide information to members of the public regarding Queensland Police Service initiatives and programs.
  • Undertake counter duties, including taking crime reports, issuing permits, and other associated documentation.
  • Utilize police computer databases efficiently and accurately input data as necessary.
  • Operate police communication equipment when required.
  • Compile reports and correspondence, and assist in preparing police documentation as needed.
  • Contribute proactively to the development of administrative systems and processes that enhance the efficient operation of the station.
  • Receive and process found property, including currency and electronic funds transfer at point of sale (EFTPOS) transactions.
  • Perform duties with minimal supervision both during and outside regular business hours as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will possess sound knowledge of police procedures and protocols, and be proficient in utilizing relevant technology and systems.
