Senior Accountant/Advisor Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant/Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in public practice accounting and excellent communication skills.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, providing a variety of services including tax compliance, financial statement preparation, and business planning. You will be responsible for managing client relationships and working closely with the senior leadership team to deliver high-quality results.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be proficient in a range of accounting software systems, including Xero.

You will have the opportunity to work in a modern and spacious office with expansive views of the Gold Coast. We provide a full work from home setup that mirrors the office, including two screens, laptop, docking stations, wireless keyboard and mouse, and headset. We use VOIP telephony enabling softphone or mobile access at home.

Requirements

The following qualifications and experience are required for this role:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a public practice accounting environment
  • CA/CPA/IPA qualification or working towards it
  • Ability to assess priorities and drive them to completion
  • Ability to take initiative, consider alternative solutions, and act autonomously
  • A keen interest in delivering exceptional service to a wide range of clients
  • A team mentality and thrive in a collaborative environment

Applicants must have a strong customer service focus and excellent communication skills. They should also be proficient in a range of accounting software systems, including Xero.
